What is the "Forum Achievement Badges" feature?
The "Forum Achievement Badges" is a reward system developed by Dcard to encourage active commenting by users. To encourage active commenting, Dcard has created five badges: "Top Contributor," "Nest Builder," "Supers Star," "Icebreaker," and "Grand Entrance."
Please refer to the following badge descriptions for their meanings:
- Top Contributor: This badge is awarded when your recent comments receive the most likes and support from the post authors.
- Nest Builder: This badge is awarded when your recent comments receive the most replies.
- Supers Star: This badge is awarded when your recent comments receive the most "likes" reactions.
- Icebreaker: This badge is awarded when you are frequently the first to comment on a post.
- Grand Entrance: This badge is awarded when you make your first comment on Dcard and share your thoughts.
Why does this feature exist?
Dcard developed the Forum Achievement Badges reward system to encourage users to leave positive comments and actively interact with others on the platform. You will be rewarded when you achieve certain commenting milestones.
How to use the "Forum Achievement Badges"?
You can choose whether to display the badge for each comment you make. Please note that you can only display the badge when commenting on the "forums where you have earned the badge." After earning a "Forum Achievement Badge," it will be displayed below your username/school when you comment and interact with others. It will appear as shown in the image below:
If you have not earned any Forum Achievement Badges in a particular forum, you will not have the option to display the badge when commenting.
- How to display the badge:
- Click on the "Comment" function and open the comment box.
- Select the "Forum Achievement Badges" option. When the badge image turns blue, it means you have successfully displayed the badge.
- How to hide the badge:
- You can choose not to display the badge when commenting by simply turning off the "Forum Achievement Badges" option.
How to earn Forum Achievement Badges?
You can earn a badge when your commenting behavior in a forum meets specific criteria. Please refer to the following descriptions for the criteria of each badge:
- Top Contributor: This badge is awarded when your recent comments receive the most likes and support from the post authors.
- Nest Builder: This badge is awarded when your recent comments receive the most replies.
- Supers Star: This badge is awarded when your recent comments receive the most "likes" reactions.
- Icebreaker: This badge is awarded when you are frequently the first to comment on a post.
- Grand Entrance: This badge is awarded when you make your first comment on Dcard and share your thoughts.
Can Forum Achievement Badges be used in all forums?
You can only use Forum Achievement Badges in the forums where you have earned them. For example, if you have earned the "Top Contributor" badge in the "Beauty" forums, you can only use the "Top Contributor" badge when commenting in the "Beauty" forums.
How many Forum Achievement Badges can I earn?
Each user can earn one badge in each forums, but there is no limit to the number of forums in which you can earn badges.
Where can I see which Forum Achievement Badges I have?
If you want to see all the badges you have been awarded and their status, you can go to the "My Achievements" page on your profile.
How long do Forum Achievement Badges last?
Each badge is valid for 14 days. During this period, you can choose to display or hide the badge for any comments you make. If your commenting behavior continues to meet the badge criteria within these 14 days, the badge's duration will be extended. If not, the badge will disappear after the expiration period.
