❔What is Two-step verification?
Once 2FA is activated, you have the option to receive a verification code via your mobile number or email whenever you log in. Simply input the correct code to access your account. This extra layer of security not only enhances the protection of your account but also minimizes the chances of unauthorized access!
🛠️Where to set up the Two-step verification?
Please set it up through the Dard App. The process is the same for both iOS / Android platforms.
1. Go to the settings page
2. Tap Two-step verification
3. After entering the password set for the account, you can choose to enable Two-step verification via SMS or email!
We will introduce how to use your mobile phone or email to receive the verification code.
📱Using SMS for Two-step verification
1. On the 2FA setting page, click SMS button.
2. If your account is not binging with the mobile number, you will need to register first.
3. Input the OTP code you've received
4. After registering mobile number, click "Continue"
5. Input the OTP code you've received to enable two-step verification
If the account has already been verified with a mobile phone number, the phone number will be automatically entered for step 2.
📧Using email for 2FA
1. On the 2FA setting page, click email to enable
2. The page will show your the registered email address of your account
3. Go to email inbox → input the OTP code you've received.
📌Frequently asked question
1. How to change/revise the mobile number or email address for 2FA?
On the 2FA setting page, you can see the option below each method → click edit and input the new mobile number/email address → input the new OTP code.
2. If I've changed the mobile number/email, it will also change my login account?
Yes! You will need to input the new email/mobile number to log in if you've revised it.
3. What should I do if I couldn't receive the OTP code?
Please first confirm with your service provider that the SMS sending and receiving function is working properly. If yes, please follow the below steps for further checking:
1. Check whether the storage of the mobile phone message is full or not
2. Close the spam messages blocking service/apps (if any)
3. Check if you have applied to enable the business messages blocking service with the service provider
4. Make sure the "Do Not Disturb" mode is turned off on the mobile
5. Update the messaging app to the latest version
6. Change to different network environment
If you still haven't received it, it's advised to change your mobile number or change to the email method for 2FA
