Dcard will make commercially reasonable efforts in accordance with the law to protect your personal data and privacy. Regarding the identity verification process implemented by Dcard and the personal data collected from you such as identity card, health insurance card, residence permit, etc., you understand and confirm that Dcard has clearly informed you of matters related to personal data protection in accordance with Article 8, Paragraph 1 of the Personal Data Protection Act as follows:
Purpose of Collection:
Dcard collects your personal data such as identity card, health insurance card, residence permit, etc., for identity verification purposes. Specific purposes include internal management of member or other member rosters, collection, processing, and use of personal data by non-governmental agencies under statutory obligations, contracts, quasi-contracts or other legal relations, consumer and customer management and services.
Types of Data Collected:
Dcard implements identity verification to maintain the quality of board discussions and may collect personal data such as identity card, health insurance card, residence permit, etc. The types of personal data include: Identifiers: such as your name, title, address, work address, previous address, home phone number, mobile phone, instant messaging account, accounts applied for on internet platforms, communication and household registration addresses, photos, email address, electronic signature, certificate card serial number, certificate serial number, identity card number, unified number, residence permit number, records of providing online identity authentication or application inquiry services, and any other data that can identify the individual. Personal descriptions: such as age, gender, date of birth, place of birth, nationality, etc. Family circumstances: such as marital status, whether having children, etc. Details of other family members: such as children, dependents, other family members or relatives, parents, cohabitants, and relatives residing abroad or in Mainland China. Travel and other migration details: such as past migrations, travel details, foreign passports, residence permit documents, work permits, and related details.
Duration and Location of Use:
Dcard will continuously retain your personal data such as identity card, health insurance card, residence permit during the operation period. The personal data collected by Dcard will be stored in storage spaces that we purchase or rent, with actual storage locations possibly changing depending on server locations (which may include Taiwan, Singapore, and Japan). You agree that we do not need to notify you simply because of changes in server storage locations. Dcard users may log in and use Dcard services from anywhere worldwide, so you understand and agree that within this scope, we may use your personal data globally to provide Dcard services comprehensively.
Users and Methods of Use:
The personal data such as identity card, health insurance card, residence permit collected from you for the identity verification process is only used internally by Dcard for purposes such as maintaining the quality of board discussions. Except as explicitly required by law, Dcard will not provide any personal data you provide for this purpose to Dcard’s business partners, competent authorities, or any third parties for their use.
Regarding the personal data such as identity card, health insurance card, residence permit you provide, you have the following rights under the law. For supplementing or correcting personal data, please handle directly through Dcard’s functions. We may request relevant information from you to verify the authenticity of your information updates. You understand and agree that to protect your privacy, when you exercise these rights, we may verify the requester’s identity by checking identity documents or other methods we deem appropriate. According to the Personal Data Protection Act, when you inquire or request to view personal data or request a copy to be made, we may charge you necessary costs:
