Dcard is committed to building a safe and open community platform, allowing all members to freely discuss topics of interest and share personal thoughts. We have established a series of Site Rules, Forum Rules, Terms of Use, etc. These regulations reflect Dcard’s dedication to community values and help ensure a positive, healthy environment on the platform.
Dcard continues to introduce new features to enhance community safety. The "Automatic Comment Hiding" feature is a collaborative effort between professionals from various fields and AI technology, designed to sort and manage a limited amount of inappropriate content. This feature aims to promote positive community interaction and enhance user experience. This feature will not remove any content, members can view all comments by selecting the option at the bottom of the comment list.
Under What Circumstances Will Comments Be Hidden?
The system currently interprets posts and comments simultaneously and hides comments in the following scenarios, including but not limited to:
- Pornography, obscene content*, explicit photos, sexual acts, etc.
- Violent and graphic content, harmful topics
- Hate Speech, discrimination, taunting, or abusing others
- Advertising and commercial promotion
- Other potentially harmful topics (e.g., self-injury, drugs)
How Can I View Hidden Comments? Are They Deleted?
If a comment is hidden, you can click "View All Comments" at the bottom of the comment list. The system does not remove any hidden comments. However, if a comment violates our Site Rules, Forum Rules, or other platform regulations, other users can still report it, and the review team may take appropriate action.
For more details, please refer to How to report the content of a post? and Am I suspended? What are the rules and restrictions for posting and commenting?
Can Forum Moderators Hide Comments?
The current mechanism is fully automated and does not allow any manual intervention in hiding comments, including actions by Forum Moderators, Creators, or official accounts.
What Should I Do If I Believe My Comment Should Not Be Hidden?
If you believe your comment does not fall under any of the categories mentioned above, please provide the relevant information and report here. We will forward your feedback to the relevant team for future system improvements.
