Duplicate Charges:
If you find that your account or card has been charged more than once, please follow these steps to verify:
-
Check the actual transaction records on the App Store / Google Play on your phone. Do not rely solely on the bank's real-time transaction notifications. It is recommended to check the actual payment records on the platform:
- iOS users:
Go to "Settings" > Tap your Apple ID > "Media & Purchases" > "View Account" > "Purchase History".
For details, see: Apple Purchase History Inquiry
- Android users:
Open Google Play Store → Tap the personal avatar in the upper right corner → "Payments & Subscriptions" > "Budget & History".
For details, see: Google Pay Purchase History
- iOS users:
-
Check if there are multiple accounts subscribed
- If you have logged into Dcard using different Apple IDs or Google accounts, please check if each account has subscribed to the service separately. The system cannot recognize subscription records between different accounts, which may result in duplicate charges.
-
Notification from the bank apps does not equal the actual charge
- Many banks' real-time transaction SMS/APP notifications are only pre-authorization or pre-deduction information, and the actual charge amount and time may vary. It is recommended to check the billing amount on your credit card or account statement, or verify the transaction status after the billing date.
Unexpected Amount:
If you notice an unexpected charge on your credit card or bank account statement, it may be due to one of the following reasons:
-
Payment was made in a currency other than TWD, causing the actual charge to vary due to exchange rate fluctuations.
-
Your bank or credit card issuer may have charged a transaction fee.
-
Duplicate charges may have occurred.
-
You may have upgraded to the Dcard Premium annual plan.
-
GOOGLE *TEMPORARY HOLD
- When you use a payment method through a Google service, you may find a charge on your account with the descriptor GOOGLE *TEMPORARY HOLD. This is a pending charge performed to verify that your card account is valid. When the transaction goes through, the hold will go away.
Please further check the transaction records in the App Store / Google Play Store or confirm the amount with the issuing bank.
How to apply for a refund?
If you have any concerns about the amount, you can follow the different platform processes and report:
-
Apple refund instructions and application: Request a refund for apps or content purchased from Apple / Go to Apple's refund application page
- Google refund instructions and application: Request a refund on Google Play / Go to Google Play support page
⚠️ Please note: If your refund request is approved, the subscription may be canceled immediately.
