To maintain the community experience, we expect every voice on Dcard to be backed by a real identity.
To prevent accounts from completing verification through improper means or obtaining others' accounts by any means,
the system will randomly select accounts for verification. Before completing the verification, the account will:
- Be unable to post, comment, or like
- Be unable to edit or delete posts and comments
- Previously published content will be marked as "This account is suspected to be abnormal"
Once verification is completed, the above restrictions will be lifted.
👨🏻💻 How to complete the verification?
Go to your profile page, click "Messages" → find the verification notice email from the Security Team → upload the required documents via the link in the email → wait for review.
The review process takes about 1 - 2 business days. Once verified, the related permissions will be restored.
⚠️ Important Notes
- Dcard will only request verification via "friend messages" and will never request verification through "direct messages," nor will they ask members for passwords. Please be especially cautious.
- The Security Team's verification is different from the regular verification process. For student ID or phone number verification, please refer to the Registration Verification related articles.
- After opening the link in the email, please ensure that the account logged in on that browser is the same as the account logged into the Dcard App. If unsure, it is recommended to use the desktop web version to log in with the correct account to upload the documents.
- After the review is completed, notifications will be sent to the notification list.
- If you have not received the Security Team's verification email, or if your verification is delayed without notification or you do not understand why the review was not approved, please contact us, and remember to proactively provide the email address registered to your account.
- Uploaded ID photos are for team verification purposes only and will be destroyed 7 days after upload.
